A Mastermind for you and your spouse that will strengthen your business and your marriage.

Marriage and business can be hard together. Do you ever feel like you have to either pick between a healthy marriage or a thriving business? Like it has to be one or the other? And most times, it’s just easier to pick the business?
We’ve been there. And thankfully through lots of learning, we’ve grown to understand that both are not only possible but attainable. We don’t have to sacrifice our marriage for our business or our business for our marriage. Both can thrive and feed off each other to create a robust life of purpose, passion and fulfillment.
Thriving Marriages
Our first focus is help your marriage flourish and not be sacrificed at the altar of a family business.
Growing Businesses
We also want to see that business flourish as well!
Increased Faithfulness
Our first two goals don’t happen without a firm foundation in the Lord. We want to see your business to grow, your marriage to thrive and your faith to deepen.

You’re seeking true community and want to surround yourself with other couples who desire a thriving marriage and business.
You and your spouse desire to make a big impact on the world: through your marriage, your family and your work.
You’re ready to do the hard work, get focused, and really be better together.

BUT WHAT IS A MASTERMIND EXACTLY?
Mastermind Groups have a proven set of practices and framework that have been honed over the past two decades. Here are some of the tools we have experienced in other Mastermind groups we’ve been a part of and ones that will be central to Better Together.
Subject Matter Experts
The hosts regularly survey the group to discover the topics that are most valuable for the group to learn as a whole and recruit experts from their network and the group’s network to speak to those issues during the events.
Creative Problem Solving
Every member is encouraged to bring their top business or marriage challenges to the group events and through a unique process we work together to give each other ideas and insights for overcoming these challenges.
Efficient Networking
Business success is often dependent on the size and strength of our network but networking can be a difficult slog for many business owners. Being in a Mastermind often immediately doubles the strength of many owner’s networks by giving them access to many like-minded business owners with similar values and similar challenges. (Better Together exists because T.J. and Josh met in a mastermind in the first place!)
Support Group
Owning a business can often be lonely. It’s tough to share everything with your friends and family since they have a hard time understanding the stress of owning a business with your spouse. We all need a group of brothers and sisters who are at our level or above to lean on and learn from during difficult seasons.
Ongoing Collaboration
The group is not only active during the two annual meetups, but will also have a monthly coaching call and a Slack group where we address specific areas of business growth and marriage in real time. Whenever you’re struggling with major decisions, or looking for big opportunities, there will be ways for you to seek the group’s advice and insight.
We will meet twice in 2023 and are accepting a limited number of members for our inaugural year.

WHAT OTHER EXPENSES SHOULD I BE READY FOR?
Your payment covers your spot in the group (which includes any guest speakers we bring in) and your meals, minus lunch (because there are so many great places to eat near where we are staying!). Your payment doesn’t cover your travel expenses as well as a small room fee.
I’VE NEVER SPENT THAT MUCH ON SOMETHING…. HOW SHOULD I VIEW THE COST?
Masterminds are a lot of things, but mainly they’re an investment. And a serious one at that. Many Mastermind Groups that we are familiar with range anywhere between 10k and 30k per year. Our goal was to bring down the cost lower than all of those groups, while still making it high enough to craft a really valuable experience that’s customized to the group itself. We also want this group to attract the kind of people whose businesses are at the level where this group will pay big dividends.
Masterminds can also been seen as an alternative to executive coaching (typically upwards of 30k yearly) or a Board of Advisors.
But the best part is that the Better Together Mastermind isn’t only an investment for your business - it’s for your marriage and relationships too. (The average cost of weekly marriage therapy for a year is upwards of 7K so… 😂 … take that into account too.)
HOW DID THE BETTER TOGETHER MASTERMIND EVEN BEGIN?
We (Brooke and T.J.) have always wanted to host a group like this but knew we always wanted a couple to partner with in the endeavor. So, when I (T.J.) met and got to know Josh at a men’s only mastermind, I was so blessed by his knowledge, teaching and wisdom. I knew that he and his wife Christi would be the perfect partners in teaching this group. After getting to know Josh, I asked if he would be interested in the idea and he said, “Yes!” Honestly, that’s one of the coolest things about masterminds. You end up developing such rich relationships that can turn into something like this.
